Deceased Name: Bernice Hanke Williams

Bernice Hanke Williams passed away February 26, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born November 20, 1910 in Chadron, Nebraska to David and Mildred Willis Berg . She married Alfred Hanke, Sept. 1, 1929. He passed away Nov. 28, 1991. She married Eddie Carl Williams,

Aug. 8, 1992. He passed away Feb. 29, 1996.

She worked at the Paramount Laundry. She then started working at the VA Hospital in June 1952 where she retired in 1975. She volunteered at the Holy Cross Hospital Gift Shop with Joy and Delores. Bernice enjoyed preparing family meals at Christmas time. She also prepared meals each holiday for the Highland Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Norma Lee Yates; sister Edna Wolfe, Gering, NE; sister-in-law, Lena Dannar, Chadron, NE. Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Greta Lacy. Bernice will be missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 So., where friends may call one hour prior.

Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Raymond C. Edvalson, to Carol and family, the Veterans Hospital Birthday Club, the Utah Hospice Heritage, and the Millcreek Retirement Center for their concern to Norma Yates and Bernice . Also a special thanks to the doctors and staff of Woodland Park Care Center for their love and concern to Bernice Hanke Williams and Norma.
