BATTLE CREEK — Services for Betsy B. Klein, 93, of Omaha, formerly of Battle Creek, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Home for Funerals. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Home for Funerals.

Betsy died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Brookstone Village in Omaha.

She was born on June 28, 1922, on a farm near Meadow Grove, the daughter of Arthur and Abbie (Horrocks) Berg. She attended East Emerick and graduated from Meadow Grove High School.

On May 27, 1945, Betsy married Victor J. Klein. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, they owned and operated Vic Klein Service in Battle Creek until his death in a car accident in 1966.

Betsy was employed by the Village of Battle Creek; Jewell, Otto and Pollack Law Firm; and later Logan Antenna Service, before moving to Omaha in 1979 to serve as treasurer for the International Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League Convention. She joined the King of Kings Lutheran Church. Later, she was the credit manager for Malbar Vision Center and International Contact Lens before becoming resident property manager of Landmark & Martinique apartments. She retired in 2002.

She held various offices and was active in the Battle Creek Ladies Aid, American Legion Auxiliary, Omaha Lutheran Woman Missionary League, King of Kings Evening Circle, Alter Guild and King Krafters.

Betsy is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette (Jerry) Marshall, of Omaha, and Madeline Loewe and her companion Ron Wolff, of Stanton; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and one great grandchild.
